Designer Spotlight: Laura Lombardi Designs
Laura Lombardi is a jewelry designer from Chicago, of whom I recently discovered. Her pieces are made from vintage and re-purposed materials. She has jewelry sold in stores in 9 states in the U.S. and 3 other countries outside of the U.S.
I generally do not like pieces that are handcrafted or refurbished type pieces but this collection really caught my eye and there are some pieces that I really love from the spring collection. The collection features pieces all in brass or gold tone colors and are very unique pieces.
One of my favorite pieces is the ridge pendant that is featured on a model in the lookbook. These pieces are not all that expensive either ranging from $30 to the most expensive piece which is $200. Most pieces range around the $60 to $70 range.
Laura Lombardi jewelry has been featured in a number of popular magazines such as Lucky, Elle, Nylon, and Martha Stewart. They are also featured on Facebook, Twitter, and are sold on Etsy.com. This press is helping to get the word out about this company. I think this is a company that is sure to become more popular with their unique and eco friendly designs.
