Inspired By… Keira Knightley

English actress Keira Knightley has been in showbiz for a long time.

Her first major role was playing Natalie Portman’s decoy in Star Wars Episode 1: Phantom of the Menance, and her big break was as a soccer star in Bend It Like Beckham.  Since then, she’s acted in big films like Love Actually, Pride & Prejudice (for which she was nominated for an Oscar), the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and Atonement.  Keira’s latest film is the big screen adaptation of Anna Karenina.

But the actress, who’s engaged to musician James Righton, is also a mega fashion star!  Designers love dressing her thin frame (for which she’s received massive criticism for) and she’s certainly grown up since first appearing on the scene.  Gone are the days of skinny jeans and leather jackets on the red carpet, and now she’s replaced them with beautiful gowns.  So, when trying to dress like Keira, think elegance.

In this first look, we’re going to use Keira’s old mainstay of leather jacket and skinny jeans.  To copy this casual outfit, select a white sweater, a faux leather jacket, and skinny jeans. Wear grey or taupe colored boots.

This second look is of Keira out and about with her fiancé.  For a great spring or summer dinner look, choose a floral dress, black strap sandals, and a black cross-body bag as an accessory.  You can pair the dress with a cardigan for that spring breeze.

In this final look, Keira was at the premiere for Atonement.  While her dress shows a lot of cleavage, you can go with a white or silver one shouldered dress with cut outs.  Pair it with silver strappy heels and accessorize with a silver headband.

Keira’s style has certainly grown over the years, and she’s become a glamour star.  If you’re one for being edgy when casual, but glam when all dressed up, Keira’s the celebrity fashion star for you.
