HBO To Launch Show About Personal Shopper Betty Halbreich
Lena Dunham, of Girls fame, has just signed on to work on a fashion-based comedy about personal shopper Betty Halbreich.
All Dressed Up And Everywhere to Go will be based on the upcoming memoir of the 85-year-old Bergdorf Goodman personal shopper.
Halbreich had first launched the luxury department store’s personal shopping service back in 1976. Since then, she’s dressed the likes of Meryl Streep and Sarah Jessica Parker. She even helped create the overall look for Sex and the City.
HBO has bought the rights to the memoir and has confirmed Dunham’s involvement. An air date for the show is not yet known.
