Inspired By… Blake Lively
The 27-year-old Los Angeles native, best known for her role as Serena van der Woodsen on the hit show Gossip Girl, is truly living the dream! Not only is Blake busy juggling fashion, beauty, food, and philanthropy deals along with the lifestyle site, Preserve, that launched last July, but her latest movie, The Age of Adaline, just hit theaters last Friday. Starring alongside Harrison Ford, Blake plays a woman born at the turn of the 20th century that can’t age past twenty-nine. On top her that, her family life is great: she’s happily married to Ryan Reynolds, and actually just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, named James, last December.
Mirroring the titular character Adaline, Blake presented us with an array of timeless beauty throughout her press tour for the movie; she dazzled in over fifteen outfits in less than seventy two hours! But this isn’t the first time America has been memorized by Blake’s bold and individual style. Fitted jeans, statement purses, short skirts, bright colors, and a pair of stilettos emulate Blake’s casual style, while printed, textured dresses and chunky jewelry make up her dinner and night wear.
This first outfit has Blake looking casual yet put together, and you can create your own comfortable but cute look by pairing some blue and white checkered leggings with a basic white T-shirt, black pointed heels, and a small white chain purse.
In this second look, Blake shines on stage during her appearance on Live With Michael & Kelly. Take some cues from this flirty outfit, and go with a leaf print romper, red studded sandals, and some large cocktail rings for a fresh dinner style.
This final look has Blake wearing a Michael Kors dress and Casadei heels. For your own fun and glamorous night out, choose a short sequin gold dress and accessorize it with a headband, large hoop earrings, and pink suede pumps.
Blake’s style is definitely one of a kind, and she teaches us that accentuating your best features, trying new trends, and wearing bold colors are key points to developing your own personal look!
