Karl Lagerfeld to Open NYC Flagship
Chanel’s creative director is bringing his fashionable label back to the states. It has been reported that the partnership between Karl Lagerfeld Paris and G-III, will produce a spring 2016 collection tailor-made for North America. The collection will be available at a flagship store in New York set to open in the spring of next year.
The focus will be on womenswear, handbags, and men’s outerwear that will eventually be distributed in department stores after their debut at the flagship store. This venture may be the start of many more openings as Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld Group BV told Racked NY: “We definitely see the potential for several flagship stores.”
The purpose of this partnership and flagship store is to market Lagerfeld’s European label to a broader audience, making it “commercially viable in the U.S.”
