Cover More With Less
Makeup is awesome, and I think I can speak for almost all makeup wearers that we love it. Makeup is pretty, and fun, and magical, but there is a part of me that wishes I could wear less of it. I know I can wear less of it, but I want to get the same coverage with just less product without necessarily having to buy new products to do the job. I think I’ve found the perfect way to do it, and it’s easier than you think.
You’re only going to need 4 “ingredients:”
- An egg-shaped sponge (like a beauty blender)
- A towel or washcloth
- Your favorite foundation
- Wet the sponge
- Wrap in towel and squeeze out excess water
- Dip wet sponge in foundation
- Stipple (press) all over face
- Repeat as necessary (you won’t need to as much as you think)
This might not seem like you are doing much different than your normal routine, but the wet sponge is significant because it only picks up the pigment in your foundation instead of any oils. Without the oils in the foundation your makeup will not only have a more matte-like appearance, but it will have less ability to move around your face throughout the day. Less powder is needed to set or add to coverage. It seems as though this is an easy fix to a long time problem, and I wish I had found out about it sooner.
