Ten Must-Have Items For $10 or Less

For most women, our pocketbooks are our lifeline. Not only do they hold our wallets, and other obvious items that all people need, but they also carry female must haves. Now, we’re all different and rely on different things to get us through the day, but some items are just universal. No matter your occupation, age, or preference, you’ll want these items in your everyday bag, and just in case you’re a little skeptical of it’s importance I’ll be sure to tell you why you’ll find yourself wishing you had it one day. The best thing about all these items is…. you guessed it, they’re all $10 and under!

1a

Deodorant ($1.79)- So this one is pretty self-explanatory. We all those days when maybe we ran out of the house in a rush, and forgot. Or it’s a just a little hotter than anticipated and we’re sweating like crazy. Well if you carry around your small, but trusty travel deodorant, it’s one less thing you’ll have to sweat about.

Recommendation: Dove Travel Size Powder Deodorant

Frizz Serums ($10)- Frizz happens when it’s going to happen. Especially when you have naturally wavy, or curly hair, but truthfully we’re all susceptible to it. Let’s say it’s a rainy Friday, and it’s not just regular drizzle; let’s say it’s one of those heavy, humid rains and your hair just wont cooperate with you. Run to the bathroom, put some of your frizz serum in it, and frizz no more. It’s perfect for beach days as well. Hair tends to frizz and look a little dry after you swim in the ocean, and let it naturally dry. This will apply some shine, and take care of the frizz.

Recommendation: John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula.

Hand Lotion ($2)- We all need a little moisture on our hands from time to time, and hand lotion is obviously perfect for that. You can always use it on any part of your body that feels dry, and it’ll solve the problem right away. Definitely a must-have.

Recommendation: Eos Travel Size Everyday Hand Lotion

Mattifying Products ($9)- THIS IS A MUST FOR MAKEUP LOVERS! Girls, we all know that sometimes our makeup gets super oily by the end of the day. Especially in the summer. It’s not really about the application or anything you’re doing specifically, but it just happens. We’ll if you happen notice your skin getting oily throughout the day, you should carry a mattifying product. It’s usually a powder that give your makeup a matte finish. You can also buy wipes that take off excess oil from your face without taking your makeup off.

Recommendation: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, or Neutrogena Blotting Sheets

2

Lip Balm ($3)- Lip blam is just always a must have. Even if you use matte lipstick or think you won’t need it, it’s also safe to carry around some kind of lip blam. I tend to gravitate towards tinted lip balms, but you can always use chapstick with no color but a more natural look.

Recommendation: Baby Lips in Cherry Me

3

Body Spray ($10)- Need I say more. Who doesn’t want to refresh and smell wonderful throughout the day? You’ll thank me later.

Recommendation: Pink Fresh & Clean Body Mist

4

Mascara ($6)- Even if you’re not a big makeup wearer, we could all use a little mascara in our life. It makes a difference here and there. Especially on a no makeup day, it gives you a little pop.

Recommendation: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

5

Concealer ($10)- Concealer has probably all saved us at least once in our life. Whether it was to cover up the dark circles to hide your late night, or maybe a blemish you wanted to make disappear for the time being. Either way concealer is a must. We could all name a time in our life when we wish we had it on us.

Recommendation: Botanics Corrective Concealer Stick

6

Red Lipstick ($6)- Red Lipstick is a classic. It’s bold, it makes a statement, and it’s something we should all wear at least once in our life.

Recommendation: NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red

7

Powder Foundation ($10)- Last, but surely not least; a powdered foundation. Now, foundation comes in liquid and powder, and while liquid is great and all, it really doesn’t appeal to everyone. But, I find that powder does. It doesn’t take much skill or art to apply powder foundation. It’s easy on, and even easier to take off. What’s even better is you can do it on the go. We should all own a powder foundation even if you like liquid.

Recommendation: Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder
